I took the bus to Wilshire and from there I went to St. Basil church which is just located in Normandie. I said my prayer in the solemnity of the church which is something I wasn't doing for a while. And it feels good to do some talking with HIM. It was good....

Then I came up with a brilliant plan. I thought of going somewhere I haven't gone yet. I don't have a map and I don't know where exactly should I go but anyway, I have a buspass. The buspass is so awesome since it would let me go anywhere in LA by train or bus without having to buy more tickets. Yun lang solve ka na. Then I got worried, I don't have a camera. Damn, I should have borrowed a camera before heading out. Then I realized, i have my phone. The resolution might not be the greatest but it is better than nothing. Whew!!!

From Normandie/Wilshire station which is almost in front of St. Basil, I contemplated on whether I should go to Hollywood or Universal City. But I've been there so I decided to stick to my plan, go somewhere unfamilliar. So I took the train to Union Station.

It didn't take a while when I arrived at my stop. It was like an airport. I learned that it was where AMTRAK stop is and it also has the bus that would me directly to LAX.

Across Union Station I found a street named Olivera. It showcases Mexican culture and from what I've learned it is a historical place.

The street was lined with maraccas, ponchos, mexican dresses, bags and some indian american dolls. There were also a lot of sugar skulls being sold. Skeleton are dressed up as well in preparation of the upcoming day of the dead which we Filipinos also celebrate.

After going around I realized that I wanted to make the most out of the day and should probably visit Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I've been planning to do that for a while now and i figured that this is my chance. I took another train and a bus to reach the place. I was amused at how big it was.

I arrived a little late so they allowed me to come in without paying anything. I guess that's how it works but isn't that awesome?! I first went into Hammer building wherein they are currently showcasing clothes made by popoular designers like Issey Miyake, Rei Kawakubo and etc. It themes Contemporary fasion. I wish that I could show the pictures but they wouldn't let me take any.

My next stop was Ahmanson building that houses American, European and some Asian Art. I drowned with the beauty that sorrounded me. I appreciated art in its glory. Paintings, sculptures, vases, ornaments etc mesmerized my eyes. Touching reliefs from the palace of Assyrian King Ashurmasirpal gave me goosebumps. Seeing the an Egyptian mummy, Armours of warriors from Iran, Tools from Ancient Mongolia was amazing. Too bad, I didn't have enough time to finish touring since they need to close at 8pm. I would definitely go back and visit some of the other buildings. I have to. I must....
